In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Women of Tadabbur (WoT) is our exclusive community united by a shared desire for personal and spiritual growth and connection to Allah and His Qur’an. There has been lessons, connection, and transformation, where the threads of community has combined with love, self improvement, and sisterhood.
Themes from the Qur’an: A Year in Reflection
Each month, we take themes that remind us of our purpose, challenge us to refine our character, and encourage us to deepen our relationship with Allah ﷻ and His Book, thereby allowing its guidance to permeate our hearts and lives.
January: Let Us Be Muslims – We started by grounding and rooting ourselves in our identity as Muslims—submitting wholly to Allah ﷻ and embracing Islam as our ultimate way of life.
February: For the Sake of Allah ﷻ – A month of introspection, we asked ourselves: What does it mean to do everything sincerely for Allah’s sake?
March: Beyond Profit – We reflected on the deeper meanings of success and barakah, understanding that true gain transcends material wealth.
April: The Excellence of Knowledge – This month emphasized the pursuit of beneficial knowledge, a pathway to Allah ﷻ and a foundation of our faith.
May: Death, the Inevitable – We were reminded of the reality of death as a motivator to live intentionally and prepare for the Hereafter.
June: On Life and Living – On living a life of purpose and intention, balancing our worldly and spiritual responsibilities.
July: The Haqq of the Qur’an – We dived into the rights of the Qur’an over us—recitation, reflection, understanding, and acting upon its teachings.
August: Rizq Obtained or Ordained – A month of tawakkul, we trusted Allah as the Provider and reflected on the balance between effort and reliance on Him.
September: ‘Ibadur Rahman – We studied the qualities of Allah’s servants described in Surah al-Furqan, aiming to embody these traits in our lives.
October: Flee to Allah ﷻ – Turning to Allah in times of ease and hardship, we reminded ourselves that He alone is our ultimate refuge.
November: The Enemy Within – Nafs Aware – We acknowledged the internal struggle with our nafs and learned to cultivate self-awareness and discipline.
December: Heart Softeners – Softening our hearts through remembrance, gratitude, and reflection.
Sisters’ Suhbah
Our monthly suhbah gatherings have been safe spaces for raw, meaningful conversations.
May: Grief – Navigating loss with faith and finding comfort in shared experiences.
October: Seeking ‘Ilm – Exploring the transformative power of knowledge.
November: Marriage – Half Our Faith – Reflecting on the bond of marriage.
December: Friendship – Delving into friendships and their how-tos plus the need to know ourselves as well.
Beyond these structured gatherings, there were countless off-the-record suhbahs that were equally impactful. One memorable session on parenting stretched late into the night, as sisters exchanged wisdom, support, and heartfelt reflections.
Regular check-ins throughout the year became lifelines for many, ensuring people did not feel alone in their struggles or joys.
Sacred Seekers: Learning Together
This year marked the beginning of Sacred Seekers, where we sat together to learn from esteemed scholars.
Holding on to Hot Coal (AMAU): A reminder to persevere through trials with steadfastness.
Amthal – Parables of the Qur’an (Qalam): Unearthing the wisdom of Qur'anic parables.
Sins – The Poison of the Heart (Jannah Institute): Confronting the harms of sin and the necessity of spiritual purification.
Tazkiyatun Nafs (AMAU): A deep dive into self-purification.
Qur’an 30 for 30 (Yaqeen): Daily reflections that brought the Qur’an alive.
The beauty of Women of Tadabbur lies in the reflections and contributions of the women who make up this community.
What sisters say about WoT…
“The rawness of the conversations—the kind that heal your heart. It is a space where I feel safe, a place where I can show up at any time and be embraced with love.”
“There is genuine love for Allah here, and an atmosphere of striving to do better for His sake. The openness, kindness, and acceptance make this space feel like home.”
“It is the accountability, the gentle reminders that you are not alone. Everyone is struggling, but we’re all here, coming as we are. There’s no need for perfection, no judgment, no pressure to impress.”
“I love hearing how each of us connects with the Qur’an in our unique ways and sharing experiences with like-minded women.”
One sister beautifully expressed what Women of Tadabbur represents:
“I see Women of Tadabbur as just the beginning of something beautiful—a legacy that will continue until Judgment Day, until we meet in Jannatul Firdaus, in shaa Allah.”
As we move forward, Women of Tadabbur remains a growing community united by the Qur'an. Each interaction, every suhbah, and all the shared moments of reflection build a foundation for something greater—something timeless.
May Allah continue to bless this community, nurture our bonds, and guide us to embody the Qur’an in our words and actions.
May the coming days bring even more opportunities for growth, reflection, and connection, as we strive to be among those who truly live by the Qur’an and Sunnah.
May Allah ﷻ make the Qur'an the light of our hearts, the cure for our sorrows, and the guidance for our lives.
Here is to another year of tadabbur, suhbah, and growth—together, as Women of Tadabbur.
And you to can join us…
